LOCAL BEACHES

Cala D’or is located in the south east of the island and has several small sandy coves nested below pine clad rocky headlands. This view spans from Porto Petro in the west through Cala d’or to Cala Esmeralda in the east.

Take a boat trip to access all areas.
FROM PORTO PETRO ON THE LEFT TO CALA D'OR ON THE RIGHT

Formerly a nudist beach - it's all under wraps now though - almost!
ES TRENC

ES TRENC is only a short drive from Cala d'Or and is well worth the trip. The beautiful white sand beach recedes gently into the sea leaving shallow waters ideal for children to play in before it deepens off.

Beach Cafe, parasols and natural shade if needed
DES POU, THE CLOSEST BEACH TO THE APARTMENT
CALA DES POU in Es Forti is the nearest beach to the apartment. Just a few minutes walk away, there is a bar / snack bar with sun beds and parasols for hire. The glass bottom boat and the boat “Badia D’or” visit here.

Cala d'Or town side of the marina
CALA GRAN
CALA GRAN is one of the main beaches and is very close to the town centre. There are two bars / snack bars with sun beds, parasols and pedelo’s for hire and a large beach shop. The glass bottom boat and the “Badia D’or” visit here.

National Park
CALA MONDRAGO
CALA MONDRAGO is less than a 10 minute min drive from the apartment. The road train visits this beach as do the local buses. Definitely worth the visit, there is a great beach bar / restaurant.
Sun beds, parasols and pedelos can be hired here. The glass bottom boat visits this bay. The beach actually borders one of the two nature reserves on the island and with a shaded play area (on the right in this picture) is ideal for families with children.

Lovely beach, hidden away
CALA SANOU
CALA SANAU is a small quiet beach 10 minites drive from the apartment. There is a small beach / snack bar with sun beds and parasols for hire. There are some delightful cliff walks here with stunning views. Be prepared for some surprises - not all visual!
There are numerous sub aquatic caves around this cove. Given the right sea conditions, a walk around the coastal path can be made even more interesting by the rumbling and gurgling of the rock beneath your feet!
